Then log into Gmail. Hit the bookmark from Gmail and you will see a notification stating that “Settings are being updated.” Now click on the gear in the upper/left and select revert to old theme.

Very easy and affective. It is likely that this will stop working at some point, hopefully by then they will have instituted an official classic theme.

The Samsung Charge is the must frustrating droid I have every worked with. Every kernal. ROM flash seems to be buggy. Anyways to get wifi tether working for root users:

1) Download Android Wifi Tether (I used 3.1 beta9)
2) Place on SDcard and install
3) Turn on WiFi (okay if no networks in range)
4) Open Wifi Tether
- On the first boot, go to settings and select the Samsung Fascinate as the phone
5) Start the tether.
- If it’s work you will see the Green download/red upload numbers
- If you don’t restart
- If you stop the tether you will need to restart before connecting to wifi or tethering again (sorry, it’s an unsupported phone, just be happy it works)

I am concerned that the market will open in the AM in a free fall, so may negate all my predictions, but no way of knowing. If one is lucky enough to be able to day trade puts may pay off huge for AAPL with an ATR of 21

More below

Earnings:
8/10 CSCO

GPOR
- Had strong bullish trend until last week, likely a great time to get in
- Resistance is 38, Currently at 27, ATR 14 is 2.2 ATR1 4.7,
- Sept Call Striking at 35 had 5:1 if it can reach previous resistance and strike at 40 is RR of 9:1
- Definite foot soldier or 2

AAPL
- Resistance 400, support 320, current 373
- ATR14: 10 ATR1 21
- August calls +20 are 4:1, sept calls are 2:1
- August calls +30 are 6:1, sept calls are 3:1
- Watch for now, better targets out there

V
- Wow what a year for V
- Resistance 91, support 74, current 83.4
- ATR14: 2.5 ATR1 4.8
- August calls +7 are 5:1, sept calls are 3:1
- Tempting/cheap foot soldiers

BIDU
- Had strong bullish trend until last week, likely a great time to get in
- Currently 140. Resistance is 166, Currently at 27, ATR 14 is 6.7 ATR1 12.5
- Support is either 135 or 113, likely depending on mood of market
- Sept Call Striking at 170 + 20 is 5:1. August position is 10:1 but only 1 week
- Consider foot solider, especially if falls. It is a solid beat t will challenge support over the next month

GLD
- Always a smart decision for any long position
- In last 52 wks has increased by 50
- 1 year call striking at 185 is RR of 2:1

NFLX
- Good bet would be a long term puts, but I am not ready to commit

CTXS
- Still have 1 option contract, pretty much worthless if no turn around

T
- I am expecting a continuation of bearish trend

Hit list: GPOR, BIDU, V

Research list: AMRN, TEA, EXPE
Watch list: GOOG, Ebay, VMW, VZ, AAPL, AMZN, MMI, SI

Doing okay over last few days, see below for predictions.

7/28 MMI, SI, ACOM
8/10 CSCO

MMI
- Initial loss after earnings, but has fought back
- On a bearish trend
- Earnings surpasses expectations
- ATR 1.5, so range from 26 to 20
- I would bet on calls, $25 strike, RR would be 3:1,
- Add to hit list

SI
- No after-market trading?
- Earnings look good, but did they live up to market expectations?
- ATR 2, so expect going to 132 or 124. This ATR has unacceptable RR
- ATR yesterday was 5.7. At 2 ATR RR is 6:1
- ATR ave over 2 weeks is 2.9
- So assume stock will moves 6 and set target as 135. RR is 2:1
- Will place on hit list but unlikely to trade,

CSCO
- Linked at hip to JNPR
- Good chance of CSCO earnings being short of predicted.

GPOR
- s/p earnings
- On a bullish trend, worth watching

T
- Is going down to 26
- Puts are very cheap with RR of 3:1 to 4:1 depending on option
- Foot Soldier?

CTXS
- I bought way too early
- Even with solid earnings I am losing money
- Sold 2 options, 1 remaining, hoping for continued bullish trend

LOGM
- I made the right decision selling when I did to break even, but wow if I kept those options it would have paid off big time.

AMZN
- Great earnings, but predictions were off by 1 ATR
- My weekly option melting leaving only a loss
- Add to watch list

NFLX
- Follow carefully for puts. Highs are continuing to not be met
- Good bet would be a long term puts, but I am not ready to commit

OMTK
- Bullish trend, fast growth
- Rapidly expanding market
- Cons – poor volume, no dividends
- Will think about buying shares
- right now very tech heavy trading, oil is probably a field to diversify into

Hit list: SI, MMI
Research list: AMRN, TEA, EXPE
Watch list: GOOG, Ebay, VMW, VZ, AAPL, AMZN

Okay, I took several days to figure out my positions. It was a rough week for my options, I thought that by buying into positions early I could maximize profits, but CTXS and LOGM have tormented me for a week. I have sold LOGM and somehow I am holding CTXS. This is definitely not the way to go. The most important aspect of this post is what I have learned, not the predictions.

I know the next lesson I will need to learn the hard way is when to cut my loses, stocks like LOGM will not always turn around

Earnings reports

7/26 AMZN, JNPR
7/27 CTXS, LOGM
7/28 MMI, SI, ACOM
8/10 CSCO

LOGM
-This stock has put me through hell for the last week, I sold to break even.
- I still expect a rally and reversal of bearish trend after earnings tomorrow, but with 10% invested it was time to take losses and admit I made a mistake
- Plan short calls after watching for reaction to earnings

CTXS
- I bought way too early, but still hoping on a positive earning

- Their earnings report is 7/27

- I Bought calls for Aug strike 75 and have been sitting on for way to long, my goal is to get out and maybe back in after earnings.

AMZN
- Great earnings, if lucky can get a few calls in am
- Short term positions, I would bet at least 3 ATRs for goal of 230
- Either Weekly @ 230($0.85 for 12:1) or 245, Or September strike 255(1.49 for 5:1) or 260 (1.06 for 5:1)

JNPR
- Profits well short of predictions
- Sell shorts in am
- Hard to say where support is, after hours at >3 ATRs and at 52 week low
- My guess is between 24-26, so 26 for predictions
- August Strike 28 for 0.55 is a 14:1, September are similar

CSCO
- Linked at hip to JNPR
- Good chance of CSCO earnings being short of predicted.

NFLX
- Predictions went well, did not place any options in time to profit
- Interesting did stock made up 1/2 the initial loses
- The big question is what is the new support, I predict will be either 270 or 275
- Follow

SI
- As predicted seems to be trending up, expect slight continued uptrend until earnings

- This stock Looks ready to explode, but much like all the others it is waiting on earnings

- Look for short term options based on calls

MMI
- Look for short term options based on calls

ACOM
- Look at surge in price from April earnings
- Worth seeing what market does

GPOR
- On a bullish trend, worth watching

OMTK
- Bullish trend, fast growth
- Rapidly expanding market
- Cons – poor volume, no dividends
- Will think about buying shares
- right now very tech heavy trading, oil is probably a field to diversify into

Hit list: AMZN, JNPR
Research list: MMI, AMRN
Watch list: GOOG, Ebay, VMW, IBM, VZ, T, AAPL

Lessons learned in last week
- Risk reward is everything.
- Expecting good things is meaning less unless you can quantify it
- Movement can be measured in ATRs, for conservative bets use 2 ATRs
- Compare this with established trends/flags
- Ideally want > 3:1- Never bet against a trend before earnings,
- In-other-words, do not expect a rally day of even if indicators are good
- Volatility down after earnings, highest before
- Real time is important, you cannot rely on a middleman trader for accurate quotes
- Subscriptions to real-time info is cheap
- Commission can kill small trades
- Trades that have down poorly have PE/E ratios >40
- Dow not trade options on stocks that do not move, Vol / Avg > 500,000

Another day, another set of predictions. Bought CTXS calls today.

Earnings report for tomorrow Ebay
7/21 MSFT
7/24 NFLX
7/26 AMZN
7/27 CTXS, LOGM

NFLX
- Same predictions
- If wild bet consider puts, if not meeting exceptions will likely have a long fall
- Good bet on short term puts, consider selling on 7/24 anything beyond is a wild bet
- My gut tells me earnings will be as predicted or better, otherwise they would not have release new pricing scheme before earnings. In tech circles, NFLX is know to be doing very well.

GOOG
- Continues to trend up
- Broke 600 resistance without meaningful change in volume

- My prediction is goog will continue to slowly trend up.

- Consider medium calls with the understanding of big risk

CTXS
- This is still my big bet

- All the indicators support a big boom is earnings are on track.
- Their earnings report is 7/27

- I Bought calls for Aug strike 75

- I missed strike of 70,….

AMZN
- Did great today finish around 220

- Now until earnings expect to fluctuate between resistance and support

- Earnings conference 7/26, expect good things

- If it falls back to support, I would buy a few calls

Ebay

- Predictions unchanged
- If earning report Jul 20, 2011 does not surpass exceptions very likely to return to June 2011 level (~28)
- I’m not buying

- Advise watching, I’m not buying

VMW
- Great earnings report, my only regret is not buying more
- My gut tells me VMW will continue to trend up, but my common sense tells me to sell in am

SI
- Beginning to turn the corner
- This stock Looks ready to explode, but much like all the others it is waiting on earnings
- Compare the trends from today to 6/27/11
- Definitely one to consider short term calls

IBM
- Completely wrong, stock went up 9, will follow
- I am still betting it will fall over weeks to months

LOGM
- Expect a holding pattern until earnings
- Resistance 38, support 36, bands are a bit unpredictable
- Earnings report Jul 27, 2011
- Company suffered a loss with Q1 earnings
-Ahead of Earnings
- Great press does not equal positive return, but has sparked my interest, merits research further.

Stocks to follow: JNPR , CSCO (consider buy calls, need more research), MMI, VZ, WBMD

My predictions of 7/15 did well, I missed most the opportunities because well as a medical resident the stock market is something one never has time to do.

NFLX
- Predictions on 7/15 are going well. Stock is trending down await earnings report
- If wild bet consider puts, if not meeting exceptions will likely have a long fall
- Good bet on short term puts, consider selling on 7/24 or wild bet beyond
- My gut tells me earnings will be as predicted or better, otherwise they would not have release new pricing scheme before earnings. In tech circles, NFLX is know to be doing very well.

GOOG
- Continues to trend up
- 600 is new resistance, which was broken briefly today without a significant response in volume
- My prediction is goog will continue to slowly trend up.
- The stability breaking 600, albeit short, seem to support that the intrinsic value of Google can support more
- Consider medium calls with the understanding of big risk

CTXS
- The real jewel for the earnings report
- All the indicators support a big boom is earnings are on track.
- Their earnings report is 7/27
- Buy calls for Aug/Sept, strike 75
- I missed strike of 70,….

AMZN
- As predicted broke resistance of 206, but quickly fell
- Now until earnings expect to fluctuate between resistance and support
- Earnings conference 7/26, expect good things
- Buy long term calls

Ebay
- Predictions unchanged
- Downward treat, testing support of 32, which it broke today 31.92
- If earning report Jul 20, 2011 does not surpass exceptions very likely to return to June 2011 level (~28)
- Until earning report expect support to be tested daily.
- Moderate risk in buying medium/long puts.

MSFT.
- Bullish trend continued to leveling out
- Earnings due Jul 21, 2011
- Advise watching,

VMW
- Continues to hover around support
- It It is at lower end of Bollinger Bands
- Earning meeting 7/19
- Still a great deal, consider short term calls

SI
- This stock Looks ready to explode, but much like all the others it is waiting on earnings
- Compare the trends from today to 6/27/11
- Definitely one to consider short term calls

IBM
- Went up 4 points on earning
- This will likely be the new resistance
- I think it will fall to support over next day or 2.
- I would bet on puts, but with caution.
- With only a 4 point move, may not be worth much.

Recently I have tried making some money in the stock market. I find it enjoyable and I initially had good success, but I got a bit ambitions, lost some, and learned alot. I am going to post some of my thoughts and predictions, mainly for my own gratification. If you take any of my advise, you deserve to lose money if your not doing your own research.

These are my initial stock predictions. Yes, I am posting them after the fact. But I am posting them to keep me honest, so I can look back and see what I thought, and I will post future predictions prior to market opening.

NFLX
- Will test support until earning releases on 7/25
- If wild bet consider puts, if not meeting exceptions will likely have a long fall
- Good bet on puts, consider selling on 7/24 or wild bet beyond

GOOG
- Will continue to go up in the long run, but
- I would not buy tomorrow b/c I expect to start ~600, maybe spike in AM and then have a slow downtrend
- Watch carefully for options both long and short

CTXS
- The real jewel for tomorrow
- Downtread on graph
- Stock at lower end of Bollinger bands, currently at support, resistance is about 77
- Their earnings report is next Wednesday, and by all indications it should be great or at least meeting exceptions
- Buy calls for Aug/Sept, target 70

AMZN
- Bullish trend with a resistance of 206
- I expect to break resistance in the next few days
- Earnings conference 7/26, expect good things
- Buy long term calls

Ebay
- Downward treat, testing support of 32, which it broke today 31.92
- If earning report Jul 20, 2011 does not surpass exceptions very likely to return to June 2011 level (~28)
- Until earning report expect support to be tested daily.
- Moderate risk in buying medium/long puts.

MSFT.
- Bullish trend that is leveling out, at lower end of bollinger
- Earnings due Jul 21, 2011
- Advise watching,

VMW
- Another stock with a bullish treat that is leveling out and testing support. Support have been around 100.0 and today went to 99.52
- It It is at lower end of Bollinger Bands
- Earing meeting 7/19
- Consider short term calls
